Geeta Pariwar,founded in the year 1986, ,by Param Pujya Swami Govind dev Giri ji Maharaj, is an organisation committed to imparting value education to children, with a goal of creating a prosperous nation through holistic development, based on the 5 core principles (पञ्च सूत्री):
1 Bhagawad Bhakti (Devotion to divine)
2 Bhagavad Geeta (Spiritual wisdom)
3 Teachings of Swami Vivekanand ji (Philosophy of Self realization)
4 Bharat Mata (Patriotism and love for motherhood)
and
5 Science ( Rational thinking and understanding)
The Geeta Pariwar emblem, विद्या धर्मेण शोभते emphasizes that knowledge is adorned if combined with virtues i.e. our duties towards Self, Family, Society and Rashtra.

In June 2020, due to sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was forced to pause, Geeta Pariwar launched the Learn Geeta Programme based on the त्रिसूत्री “Learn Geeta ,Teach Geeta and Live Geeta”. This initiative aimed to spread positivity and to propagate the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to masses, after teaching the correct grammatical pronunciation of the shlokas.
As suggested in its emblem, तस्माद्योगीभवार्जुन Krishna advises Arjuna to become a yogi who strives for self-realization and detachment from worldly desires and attachments

- What was born in June 2020 as an online initiative with 2500 sadhaks, has now blossomed into a global community of more than 12 lakh Sadhaks in the last 5 years, after being nurtured by dedicated countless efforts of Dr Sanjay Malpani and Dr Ashu Goyal ji on the path paved by Param pujya Swamiji. The aim was to connect and get spiritually nourished during the isolation situation prevailing all around!
With the overwhelming response and the verbal publicity the count of keen Sadhaks grew exponentially and registrations kept growing multifold from 4k to 10k to 14 k to 25k to 50 k and today this cumulative figure has gone up to more than 12 lakhs.
- Also, its presence is not confined only to Bharat but has expanded its wings globally i.e. in 184+ countries, reaching out to every nook and corner of this vishwa into people’s homes and hearts… aiming “har ghar gita har kar gita.”
- Over these five years, due to a significant surge in the number of registrations, the need for more classes and in turn more sevaks like trainers, techs and coordinators was obvious. Initially where it began with only few trainers to teach and techs to host the classes. Online Geeta Classes now boasts of having major departments for creating Technical assistants, Trainers and Group and Batch coordinators.
- Trainers are selected through a stringent screening process of hearing audios, conducting grammar tests, running Drona Training Programmes, one to one interviews and making them interns, before they become a Core Trainer as against the earlier instant selection system.
- Tech training Groups (TTG) are formed with mentors assigned to teach the technical aspects in hosting a class. LMS, practical training, demo and super demo sessions help create techno stars for hosting regular classes, opening ceremonies, conducting exams, etc.
- To Coordinate with the faculties and ensure smooth running of classes the Group coordinators were appointed and few Batch coordinators a level above them managed the total efficient functioning
- Monitoring and mentoring departments were vigilant enough to maintain the set standards qualitatively, which is today’s need of the hour
- Conducting recitation classes (संथा वर्ग) from Monday to Friday which began in 10 timeslots from 6 am to 10 pm are now in 18 timeslots from 4 am to 2 am
- Classes began in only three languages- Hindi Marathi and English and are now functional in 13 Indian regional languages – Hindi, Marathi, English, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla, Odia, Nepali, Assamese & Sindhi
- To upgrade and have a strong hold on the academic front, Special Grammar sessions(व्याकरण वर्ग) of all 4 levels , Special Training sessions for Trainers , and Special Extra Classes for all those sadhaks willing to appear for exams are organised.
- Facilitating all sadhaks in making the learning process simpler, the PDFs were upgraded and improvised from version 4 to 5 then to 6 and currently to version 7. Also Literature department has taken special efforts in making available various Publications of Geeta sahitya in all 13 languages
- All this could be possible only due to the ever growing selfless services rendered by the evergreen everready Sevaks, the number of which has gone from 75 sevaks in 1st year to more than 10000 sevaks by the end of 5th year.
- The scope and contributions of work also has changed from a small multifunctional team to a well expanded organisation chart comprising 40 + departments and many more sub sections. Aao Geeta Sewi Bane is the brainchild derived with the aim to motivate more and more sadhaks to become sevaks.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to expanding this sacred mission, deepening engagement, and inspiring lives through the eternal light of the Gita.
- Vivechans/ Interpretations (अर्थ विवेचन) on weekends i.e. saturday and sunday by only 4 vivechaks earlier, has now a tight schedule of 18 vivechanas,( including kids special newly introduced) , by an expanded team of 11 vivechaks giving rise to separate departments for vivechan Techs, Vivechan anchors, Vivechan deep prajwalan and prarthana, Vivechan Summary writers, Banner and many more related things
- All these efforts were obviously reflected in the stupendous results in growing numbers of successful examinees. The Practice App is an outstanding Self Practice facilitator
- The IT department also has evolved extensively. The long zoom links are replaced by the short links which enable better control on the attendance and count. The user-friendly Learn Geeta App is another feather in a cap!
As we celebrate the 5th anniversary of ONGC of Learngeeta, Geeta Pariwar, we reflect with gratitude and pride on this remarkable journey of transformation from adversity to opportunity globally !!
This milestone is a tribute to the selfless 14000+ Geeta sewis, and sincere 12 lakh +sadhaks who have turned a time of crisis into a foundation of transformation.
